Married 3/26/10

We are the Behr(ens) Family. We are pretty laid back. Sometimes too laid back. Obe Behr likes to play guitars, fix guitars, read about guitars, listen to guitar music, buy guitar stuff...pretty much anything guitar related. Cherry Behr likes to think of creative ways to pry Obe away from his guitars and give her attention (usually food) and she likes to cuddle their kittens Zakk Behr and Leia Behr. We live in a little behr cave apartment, it's cozy...when ever people come over they get sleepy... it must be the coziness...not that we are boring or anything: ) We also just found out we will be welcoming a baby Behr sometime around Sept 5th!

How we met

On August 22nd, 2005 I was moving into the dorms at Michigan State. While I was checking in to get my room key my mom overheard the father and son in front of us speaking Spanish. She made a comment that I should get to know him (little did she know ha!) and also that he had a cute butt...I can't blame her I guess since we were behind him that was all she had to go on:)

Later that day that young man offered to help bring up my things including wood for a loft with my brother. My mom... again, being the out-going person she is, proceeded to try to explain what a loft was to these two men,.... I later found out that the conversation sounded something like the adults in a Charlie Brown episode to Roberto and his dad. They said to each other in Spanish: "Do you know what she is saying?" "No, you?" "No" "just smile and nod":).

I didn't really speak to Roberto much since I was all sweaty and in need of a shower... I was avoiding meeting new people. I did ask him where he was living and he was on the other side of the hall. I was standing there when my mom mentioned he should live on my side since it was the "la casa" floor, an all Spanish speaking floor. He looked at her with a "I wanna say something but don't have the words look" and then said, "Spanish, I know". We all cracked up. Even then I could tell he was a funny guy.

  1. the third time is a charm- - I have been attempting to comment on the blog post concerning the "cute butt". I do not remember actually making this comment. It would not surprise me if I had though. There are times when my mouth filter is shutdown and I do admire cute buttocks. :)
